Astronomy 110L is a laboratory course designed to complement Astronomy 110. It can be taken either with or after taking Astronomy 110. The goals are to introduce the night sky and the use of astronomical telescopes, and to do some simple astronomical and laboratory experiments illustrating scientific methods and the unity of astronomical and terrestrial phenomena. The class will meet at night, with frequent field trips to nearby observing sites. This course fulfills the Distribution Requirement for a Science Laboratory (DY).
