Fall 2006 Astronomy 110 Tu, Th 9:00 - 10:15

Astronomy 110 is a lecture course surveying the astronomical universe. The goal is to give students an appreciation for the scope and scale of modern astronomy and to illustrate the unity of natural phenomena. There are no college-level prerequisites; high-school algebra and geometry are useful, and some physics will be discussed as needed. This course fulfills the Distribution Requirement for a Physical Science (DP).
