SURVEY OF ASTRONOMY LABORATORY

Spring 2003 Astronomy 110L Tues. 7:00 - 10:00 pm

Astronomy 110L is a new laboratory course designed to complement Astronomy 110. It can be taken at the same time or after taking Astronomy 110. The objectives are to teach the night sky and the use of astronomical telescopes, and to perform some key astronomical and laboratory experiments illustrating scientific methods and the unity of astronomical and terrestrial phenomena. The class will meet at night, with frequent field trips to observing sites in the area. This new course fulfills the Distribution Requirement for a Science Laboratory (DY).
